Sorry I haven’t had time to blog anything new lately. Good ideas get reduced to Twitters it seems.
Here are a few nice images from a ski trip I took the other morning.
We skied Peak 505, a small peak in the upper Frying Pan drainage. We had a beautiful day, luckily remaining sheltered from the 60mph winds up top for the duration of the morning.
A side view of the entrance off the peak. A near 50 degree slope makes that first turn the hardest. (*note: we ended up dropping in a little behind this area, as the exposure here was not ideal)

After an apprehensive first turn, your turns starts to flow very quickly. Here I’m enjoying some nice winter snow at about 12,500 feet on the last day of April.

A couple thousand feet lower we took a layer or 2 off and enjoyed some spring time corn. Peak 505 has some really fun terrain. Lots of rolls and rocks to flow around.
Until my next inspiration…
